The conference is scheduled for May 6 through 9 and we have a block of rooms reserved with ocean views and balconies for $199.00 per night. They have also agreed to extend that rate for three days before and after our event. There is a lot of activity on Amelia Island that weekend with the Shrimp Festival on the north end of the island at Fernandina Beach. This is a great annual event with displays of art, craft, antiques and good seafood fare being offered. The whole town opens up and it is a big deal with pirates, fireworks, bands and fun going on nonstop. I will say that it is a family oriented event so if you have children I can assure you they will enjoy the Shrimp Festival. There will be more information coming out in the near future about the conference, but you need to make sure you have your reservations in as soon as possible.
